professional dress and hair styles

I recently lost my job and the dress there was 'business casual', so it's been a long time since I've had to dress up for work. I am looking for advise on 1) professional dress - I get hot very easily, so I need very cool clothing; and 2) I have just below the shoulder, naturally curly hair. Normally, I like to wear it big and wild. For interviews, I tame it down and wear a headband.

I would appreciate anyone's advice on helping me look more professional.
