Self magazine

I was at my salon today for a mani/pedi, and they had the new issue of Self. I was thrilled to see an article about arriving at your "happy weight"...the weight you are most comfortable at without having to starve or obsess about it. They showed several women how to come up with a reachable goal and revise the number from the unattainable/unhealthy number they originally had in mind. (Most of them wanted their high school weights, pre baby weight or college athlete weight.)

This is a step in the right direction! If you want to check it out, it's the February issue with Eva Longoria on the cover.

Oh, I like the sound of happy weight. This is definately a good direction to go in. A place that each of us own, a weight we know is healthy and right for us. Thanks for the tip off on the article!

This reminds me about the time I went to see a dietitian. Her goal weight for me was a 135-140 lbs. Mine was 170 - 180 (the time I remember being most comfortable. I think I might have skipped over the 135-140 level in my lifetime as I don't remember ever weighing that. LOL.
