Well Emme, In all this Ragdoll chat, we realized that the perfect pet for one daughter had to be matched. We picked up Katie on our way home from a HealthSource Chiropractic conference. We were in Cleveland, and Rockin Blues Ragdolls was just south in Akron,OH http://www.rockinblues.org/avail.html . That precious little kitten cuddled and slept the whole way home. When our daughter saw her kitty for the first time...well...it's moments like that - that make it all worthwhile.

I sincerely hope that your health continues to improve (and it WILL) so that your daughter can have a Ragdoll kitten. Even if you have to have a special HVAC system installed in your home, it will be worth it- they are too wonderful of a pet. I've had several patients take on a serious healthy/organic eating/lifestyle...and their allergies were no longer an issue. Emme, keep up the good work. If you are up to a garden this spring, I'd love to see it. Your garden clips were helpful! Thanks.

After our daughter grieved the loss of her peep, for a long time...too long, we saved up for a ragdoll kitten. They are worth every penny. I cannot say enough to praise this breed. My daughter was a dog lover, but would never trade this precious pet for anything else. She's almost perfect. Fuzzy will ride in the doll stroller, on her back, with a blanket over her, holding a toy---for hours. She doesn't scratch anyone or bite (of course she is NOT declawed). The wait for the day to pick her up from the breeder did feel like forever, but this was the living joy that put cheer back into our daughter's life. #1 pet for children and would be #1 as a companion for any age. They also are great for the allergic, as ragdolls are kind of like bunny fur (my husband doesn't get ill from her) and they tolerate bathing well. Ragdolls are worth their weight in platinum! I hope this helps someone out there that really needs a pet as a friend. In our home- Fuzzy is a best friend to us all.

Our Community Arts Center in Johnstown, PA had a wildlife show this weekend. The show was very educational and fun. (And I'm NOT a snake fan!) The show was led by Jonathan, with the support of his Mom and girlfriend Amy. To see a Mom be THAT supportive was awesome. What a Family! Just wanted to let the world know about them: www.reptileseminars.com (They took very good care of the animals.)
