Dear savior, hear my humble plea, Keep my Soldier safe for me. You know he's so far away from home And it's his mission to explore and roam In a hostile, foreign land to defend us; Bless his efforts to be brave, true and just.

Lord, hold him and keep him from harm To once again be secure in my arms. I love my Soldier, my Husband, my life, so much And long to have him here to kiss and touch.

Give time wings, Lord, and let it fly Soaring sure and swiftly by Until the day he returns to me-- Always loving and true - a Hero - mine to be. Once more, Savior - my humble plea -- Keep my Soldier safe for me.
