Breaking News from a desert town Smoke and rubble on the ground The names we do not know right now And it cuts me like a knife
With a tearful goodbye kiss I sent him off to this But I've gotta stay strong... I'm a soldier's wife
I run the house I sleep alone I live for e-mails And the phone calls home... I'm a soldier's wife
We do the things we used to do Go to church, go to school But you could drive a truck right through The hole that's in our lives
Sometimes I'm angry Sometimes confused I live and die by The evening news
I pray for strength I pray for peace I pray that he comes home to me And if you would please pray for me I'm a soldier's wife.

Thanks Emme! I just talked to my hubby today...he was just promoted to Specialist! Yea!
He is doing ok, but it IS a dangerous situation to be in, so I'm praying for him every day!
Thanks to all who have been doing the same.
It's REALLY hard not being able to be with him, but I'm taking it one day at a time

No, I didn't write it...it's actually lyrics to a song by Roxie Dean titled "I'm A Soldier's Wife"...obviously, a song that hits colse to home for me! I thank ALL of you for the support!
